Our Special Trade Commission discussed the UK's future trade prospects

Our Special Trade Commission gave a public briefing where they shared their ideas of what an independent trade and regulatory policy looks like for the UK and what the UK-EU relationship should look like.

The discussion featured our Special Trade Commissioners; Grant Aldonas, Alden Abbott, Alan Oxley, John Weeks, Francisco Sanchez, Sir Lockwood Smith and Luis De La Calle and was chaired by Shanker Singham.

A New Partnership For UK - EU Financial Services

The Legatum Institute Special Trade Commission (STC) and leading law firm CMS have produced a detailed study of how governments and regulators can work together to maintain efficient, closely integrated financial services markets across national borders. Following the launch of this study, the Legatum Institute hosted a panel which examined the real barriers and obstacles to cross-border financial services that businesses might face after the UK has left the EU and what can be done about them.
