Ben Page, Chief Executive of Ipsos MORI, delivered his forecast ahead of Britain's general election at a recent Legatum Institute business breakfast.
Page expertly guided the small table of guests from significant global businesses through the theory, reality and history of the May 2015 election. He argued that although polls can prove a useful tool, politicians should be guided by principles, not poll rankings. He criticised all parties for their failure to communicate a clear agenda: this was a missed opportunity, he argued, to secure new voters.
The conversation was hosted by Sian Hansen, Executive Director at the Legatum Institute.
