In his talk, Boleat addressed a wide range of issues including financial regulations, the divergence of interests and ideas regarding Brexit, and the compatibility of EU regulations folding into British law.

He also gave a unique insight into the perspectives of big bank and financial leaders in relation to their views and desires of what they want—and need—from Brexit negotiations.

About the Speaker

Mark Boleat is Chairman of the Policy and Resources Committee of the City of London Corporation, where he has been a member since 2002. He is Deputy Chairman of TheCityUK and the International Regulatory Strategy Group, a Vice Chairman of London Councils, and a member of the boards of Central London Forward, and London and Partners.

Boleat is also Chairman of the Housing & Finance Institute and has previously been Director General of the Council of Mortgage Lenders, the Building Societies Association and the Association of British Insurers. He has also run his own consultancy business, and is the author of several books on housing finance and public policy.
