"Party politics plays no part in the abolitionist movement. Everyone wants to end the criminal trade in people that affects 30 million people around the world—880,000 in the EU alone. Slavery is big business ($150 billion a year—that's more than MacDonald's and Google together) but it is so morally repugnant, those who profit from it keep their trafficking a closely-held secret."
